Tool Gallery
The Equipment Loan Program offers tools for many purposes, from teaching consumers about efficient lighting to diagnosing problems on a transmission system, and more. While their uses are limited only by the imagination, the tools fall into five general categories:
- Educational kits – Demonstrate energy efficiency and renewable energy technology at customer meetings, school presentations and community events. Also, Western customers can order CDs covering the basics of wind and geothermal power from Energy Services publications library.
- Energy audit equipment – From simple diagnostic tools to blower doors, this equipment helps to pinpoint energy losses and recommend solutions that will reduce your customers' bills and help you control your costs, too.
- Infrared cameras – These cameras take pictures of heat radiating from the surface of an object, translate the information into temperatures and display the temperatures as colors.
- Power meters – Power meters measure electricity use and power quality for everything from a home appliance to a transmission system. The Equipment Loan Program keeps several different models on hand.
