Project planning and development
There is a lot of work that must be done before projects are ready for construction. Western’s TIP office is continually preparing resources, conducting regional planning and holding discussions necessary to support future projects.
Specifically, Western has signed Advance Funding Agreements, also called AFAs, with two project sponsors to engage in planning and development work. Through the AFAs, project sponsors provide advance funding for Western's project-related activities during the development phase. Western's TIP office has AFAs in place for the following projects:
