Web content inventory and publication schedule

Western provides a wide variety of information about its organization and business operations to the public via its Web site, www.wapa.gov. This report summarizes the general areas of content available to users, their publication schedules and the agency's priority in making information available as required by Section 207(f)(2) of the E-Government Act of 2002.

In preparing this inventory, Western staff reviewed information collected as part of the Web redesign process undertaken in 2004 and 2005: including citizen comments via e-mail, comments from power customers, focus groups and usability tests, current Web site statistics indicating usage of existing content, and related information developed through the Information Quality Guidelines process (per Section 515 of Public Law 106-554, known as the Data Quality Act).

Western has a long-standing policy to put as much information as possible and practical on its Web site, and we believe we already have posted everything that we can. If new information becomes available at Western that is important to the public, we are committed to publishing it on our Web site. If you have suggestions for additional information we should have on Western's web site, please let us know.

The following priorities, as recommended by the Office of Management and Budget, are used to schedule when information is published.

Priority 1: required by law, regulation, Presidential directive, or other official directive or to ensure national security

Priority 2: mission-critical and essential for program operations, but not required by law, regulation or Presidential directive (that is, information or services that are directly tied to an agency's mission and/or strategic plan)

Priority 3: frequently requested information or services that would improve business processes and/or customer service to the public (for example, most commonly used forms, documents, applications, transactions, etc.).
